Role Description

Full-time and Office based

Reporting Line: General Manager - AI and Services

Job Purpose

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee and manage IT projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.

• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Monitor and control project progress, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
• Lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional project teams.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Conduct regular project team meetings to review progress, address issues, and plan next steps.
• Identify potential project risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Resolve conflicts and challenges that arise during project execution.
• Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial constraints.
• Allocate resources effectively and efficiently to meet project requirements.
• Track and report on project expenditures and financial performance.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports and updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
• Address stakeholder concerns and feedback promptly and professionally.
• Ensure comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-project evaluations.
• Maintain records of project deliverables, changes, and approvals.
• Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Experience and Knowledge:

• Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in IT project management, with a track record of successful project delivery.

• Experience with IT services, infrastructure projects, and software development processes is highly desirable.

• Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in AI, machine learning, or related technology fields is an advantage.

• Strong understanding of AI technologies and methodologies, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is an advantage.

Skills and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. 

• Master’s degree or relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL is a plus.

• Above average computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana).

• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to deployment emergencies outside of regular business hours as needed. 

• Mature, outgoing, positive individual.

• Self-managed, proactive and takes accountability.

• Enjoys and is able to engage with diverse peoples including culture, religion and belief systems. 

• Ability to work as part of a team and good at collaboration. 

• High level of energy.
