Role Description

Location: Midrand, South Africa

Full-time and Office based

Reporting Line: Brand Executive: Proline

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the internal Proline sales and product processes
to achieve targets and to act as a bridge between the internal brand team as well as the organization’s
sales team and the vendor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with Proline team members, internal sales teams applicable customers
  • Achieving monthly sales and stock targets
  • Continuously developing and understanding product knowledge
  • Providing relevant product training internally and to different branches
  • Delivering reports and target tracking information as required
  • Implementing Pinnacle strategy and policies in alignment with the product
  • Supporting products through PDF spec sheets, web info, sales support, and customer systems
  • Positioning and pricing products effectively
  • Updating product details on the webpage
  • Assisting sales staff with quotations
  • Providing pre-sales and post-sales support to sales staff
  • Aligning all resources to ensure efficiency
  • Staying updated on developments and trends in the Enterprise market
  • Understanding technology roadmaps for future planning
  • Assisting with product codes, pricelists, and costing on the system
  • Attending weekly sales meetings and resolving stock issues
  • Driving active and aging stock management
  • Managing the order process to maintain service and stock levels
  • Handling rebates and incentives from suppliers
  • Liaising with suppliers for promotional funds and materials
  • Maintaining relationships with customers to understand their requirements and incorporating them into stock forecasting
  • Developing and presenting/facilitating product presentations, training and information to different audiences

Requirements

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Matric
  • A Sales or Marketing tertiary diploma/degree will be advantageous
  • 3-5 years working experience in a Product Management environment will be advantageous
  • Experience working in the IT Distribution industry
  • Entry-level technical exposure on IT basics
  • Experience working in a customer-orientated environment

 

Skills and Education:

  • Must understand the IT market and the specific needs of the different market segments (select resellers, resellers, and end-users)
  • Good administration skills
  • Ability to create, update, and use data in a spreadsheet as well as to analyze, interpret, and use reports (for stock management, product reordering, aging stock, etc)
  • Ability to complete a task with minimum supervision
  • Customer service and service quality orientated
  • Good time management with the ability to work within a high-stress and pressurized environment
  • Ability to take initiative
