Role Description

Location: Midrand, South Africa

Full-time and Office based

Reporting Line: Business Unit Manager: Enterprise

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing and implementing the Pinnes Enterprise Hardware portfolio strategy, with a strong emphasis on handling all administrative responsibilities related to the Enterprise Hardware portfolio. This involves ensuring smooth operations and supporting strategic initiatives within the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers
  • Achieve monthly sales and stock targets
  • Liaise with vendors and customers to identify new business opportunities
  • Provide weekly sales and stock forecasts to management
  • Identify, contribute to, and assist with implementing marketing strategies
  • Distribute product and training information to sales teams and customers
  • Track and share insights on competitive vendors
  • Display knowledge of roadmaps and product life cycles
  • Achieve and maintain industry certifications
  • Represent Pinnacle and vendors at customer engagements and conferences
  • Deliver vendor presentations and training to sales teams and customers
  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to colleagues and customers
  • Participate in tender evaluations, product/solution recommendations, and pricing
  • Quote products/solutions accurately based on vendor or customer needs
  • Grow the share of assigned Pinnes products within the customer base
  • Manage pricing lists effectively
  • Ensure vendor orders are placed promptly
  • Meet all SLAs on time
  • Provide reports and track targets as required
  • Assist the team with additional related functions
  • Understand each vendor's rebate and compensation program

Requirements

Experience and Knowledge:

  • A minimum of 3 years of product management experience within the IT industry
  • Understand forex conversions and calculations
  • Good knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and software products (advantageous)
  • Have experience delivering vendor presentations
  • Demonstrate experience in preparing and presenting quotations
  • Develop go-to-market strategies and sales plans effectively

 

Skills and Education:

  • Matric with Mathematics is essential; a relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous
  • Demonstrate above-average proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Possess excellent verbal and written business communication skills
  • Exhibit strong networking and relationship-building abilities
  • Showcase effective presentation skills
  • Handle numbers and calculations with precision
  • Manage time efficiently, staying well-organized and deadline-driven, with the ability to plan and prioritize high workloads
  • Excellent attention to detail
