Operations Assistant
Role Description
Location: Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa
Full-time and Office based
Reporting Line: Business Unit Manager: Huawei
Job Purpose
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers, generate new business opportunities, and
drive sales growth by delivering excellent customer service, resolving conflicts, and providing innovative
solutions that meet customer needs and align with the Company’s objectives.
Recruitment Specialist
- Engagement with freight forwarders
- International freight management and imports
- Accountable for ensuring compliance both at customs and with the NRCSA
- Managing of ETA’s and orders placed
- Report on ETA to sales
- Assist Pinnacle Warehouse team with receiving and delivery to achieve OTIF (On time delivery in full)
- Report on PSI, Inventory, Customs Clearing Report for OEM
- Assist the Enterprise Product team with day-to-day administration tasks
- Weekly engagement with the vendor’s supply chain on back orders
- Support Product Managers with Sage ERP updating and maintenance
Experience and Knowledge:
- Minimum 1-2 years’ freight and imports related experience
- Distribution experience is advantageous
- Experience with Imports and Exports is essential
- Working experience in an operations service environment
- Experience working in an administration position
- Experience of creating reports in Excel
- Knowledge and understanding of the ICT market will be advantageous
Skills and Education:
- Matric with mathematics is essential
- A tertiary degree/diploma such as a BCom, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management or an administration focused qualification
- A tertiary qualification in IT will be an advantage
- Good computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Must be able to use Excel at an advanced level
- Be able to work in a pressured environment
- Excellent communication skills

- Attention to detail i.e. meticulous
- High understanding of Finance
