Role Description

Location: Midrand, South Africa

Full-time and Office based

Reporting Line: Operations Director

Job Purpose

To support and assist Product Managers in their core role of managing stock on hand as per budget and
sellout management ensuring the business realises it’s targets. Support back-office functions that align with overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly GP target
  • Order products as per the TP-Link strategy
  • Achieve sell-out target, set by Pinnacle
  • Achieve and drive stock and aged stock targets
  • Produce and manage product support and quoting
  • Understand and implement Pinnacle strategy and policies in alignment with product
  • Provide full product support (including but not limited to: PDF Spec Sheets, Web Info, Sales Support, Customer Support-Systems Integrators)
  • Manage the profitability of products
  • Assist sales team with quotations
  • Provide sales support to Pinnacle sales teams
  • Maintain ERP system ensuring system is up to date with product codes and pricing agreements
  • Attend weekly sales meetings and assist in resolving stock issues
  • Manage stock within budget as well as weeks of inventory
  • Manage aging stock within budget
  • Drive active and aging stock
  • Understand the logistics process
  • Build and maintain internal and external relationships with all stakeholders
  • Manage vendor relationship and align strategically with the vendor
  • Maintain relationships with customers and dales people to understand their requirements and incorporate into the stock forecasting

Requirements

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Proven administration skills
  • Proven track record of sales success (preferably within the ICT Distribution industry)
  • Work experience in a customer service environment
  • Experience building relationships both externally and internally
  • Previous experience of product management beneficial

Skills and Education:

  • Matric, preferably with mathematics
  • A tertiary qualification and/or a relevant diploma in Sales, Marketing, or IT will be an advantage
  • Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Must have MS Excel Skills at a minimum of an Intermediate level and be able to use formula, calculations, pivot tables and V-Lookups in a spreadsheet
  • Strategic thinker with strong planning and execution skills
  • Excellent verbal and written business communication skills
  • Able to complete basic calculations (ability to work with numbers)
  • Organized individual who is deadline driven with good time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Proven administration skills
