Job Purpose
The purpose of this Internal Account Manager position is to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met whilst driving revenue and business growth. This position will focus primarily on products within Pinnacle’s Retail division.
• Receive, confirm, and validate orders
• Accurately process orders
• Create and maintain data control sheets of all incoming orders
• Order tracking and fill rate
• Product listing on all new deals
• Management of existing listings and updating EOL and costing
• Customer Order Portal Management
• Product Listing and maintaining product catalogue
• Confirm pricing and price agreements with the KAM and Brand
• Confirm all rejections on new stock from stores before arrival at Pinnacle and coordinate with deliveries
• Follow up and communicate with delivery company to schedule deliveries, arrange collections and obtain feedback
• Assisting with customer complaints and collaborate with the Technical department to resolve these
• Assist Debtors with RTM’s POD’s and claims
• Assist the Retail team with all administrative work
• Interact, coordinate, and assist the warehouse with stock, deliveries and orders
• Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders
• Continuously build an active customer base, identifying sales opportunities and growing business revenue to achieve a sales budget
• Implement the agreed Retail sales strategy
• Maximize sales by expanding orders and upselling
• Support the External Sales team in implementing sales strategy and in developing new sales opportunities
• Act as liaison between customers and Company departments to communicate and co-ordinate deliveries, general information, ETAs, and provide feedback
• Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing queries, resolving issues, addressing complaints, and ensuring SLAs are met
• Prepare and compile quotations as per specifications
• Process relevant delivery notes and documentation
• Meet and exceed the agreed SLA deliveries
• Follow up on orders with other departments to meet SLAs
• Work closely with internal departments, including the Brand and Logistics teams, to ensure seamless execution of customer requirements
• Attend product training and acquire updated knowledge in terms of brands, products, and operating processes
• Updating stock reports, backorders, and orders received on a daily basis
• Working committedly within agreed-upon company-targeted budget revenue, marketing, and expense parameters
Experience and Knowledge:
• A minimum of two (2) years of Account Management and Sales Experience
• Distribution experience is advantageous
• Understanding and/or experience within the ICT infrastructure
• Working experience in a customer service environment
• Experience preparing and presenting quotations
• Experience developing sales plans and closing deals
Skills and Education:
• Matric is essential
• A tertiary qualification in Sales, Business Management or IT will be an advantage
• Must be able to use Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level
• Proven sales skills/ability
• Excellent verbal and written business communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Good attention to detail
• Developed negotiation skills
• Good time management and well organized i.e., deadline driven, able to plan and prioritize a high workload
• Technology driven
• Able to complete basic calculations (ability to work with numbers)
• Able to work in a pressured environment, to chase and meet targets
• Effectively prioritize the Retail workload and manage time
