Role Description

Reporting Line: Business Unit Manager: Huawei
Job Purpose
To provide effective pre-sales and sales support to partners, Huawei, and internal sales teams, focus on driving growth in the commercial market within the Huawei product stack. Prioritize increasing sales within the Channel, managing stock levels, and forecasting demand accurately. Position yourself as a trusted advisor and resource for partners, Huawei, and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and trust across all parties involved.
Recruitment Specialist
- Develop and execute the business strategy for the vendor in the commercial sector
- Increase customer, product, and geographic coverage for both vendor and Pinnacle
- Define a development plan with each partner and execute it
- Review development plans quarterly
- Present the development plan status to the vendor
- Train and upskill partners and Pinnacle teams
- Develop partner sales and presales resources
- Train partners on vendor tools, processes, and systems
- Manage partner certification levels
- Involve partners in vendor training and events
- Ensure vendor operational excellence within the partner
- Place orders on time with the vendor
- Ensure quotes are fast and accurate
- Ensure credits are passed promptly to resellers/partners
- Provide ETA and delivery updates
- Escalate partner operational issues to the vendor for resolution
- Align vendor resources with partners
- Ensure proper stakeholder interface between vendor and partner on technical, presales, management, and marketing levels
- Drive marketing initiatives with partners on behalf of the vendor, including events, campaigns,
incentives, and GTMs - Manage discounts for partners
- Lobby for partner support at the vendor
- Enlist vendor support to close opportunities
- Maintain relationships with key vendor contacts for success
- Focus on solutions for each partner and product
- Take responsibility for the revenue target allocated to the partner
- Drive Pinnacle product focus within each partner
- Be the custodian of vendor relationships at the partner
- Ensure vendors' products remain top-of-mind with stakeholders
- Analyze market segments and develop marketing strategies to build demand
- Provide marketing and GTM plans to the sales team
- Liaise with vendors to understand product and market trends
- Communicate product and market strategies clearly
- Develop a strategic account management plan for partners and review it quarterly
- Ensure customer queries are dealt with effectively
- Assist the team with related functions as required
- Submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to management, vendors, and analysts
Experience and Knowledge:
- 2-3 years of IT sales experience, ideally in the Commercial Market, with Distribution experience being advantageous
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite is essential; familiarity with CRM and ERP systems is preferred
- Strong service orientation and the ability to perform under pressure
- Solid technical knowledge and a technology-driven mindset
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize customer needs
- Exceptional time management skills, ensuring effective multitasking and timely execution
- Highly structured and efficient in managing tasks

- A matric with mathematics is preferred; a Sales and Marketing qualification or relevant diploma is an advantage

- Capable of handling pressure and high workloads
- Technology-driven, up to date on Huawei products; Enterprise certifications are a plus
- Strong customer service skills
