Role Description

Job Purpose
Reporting to the CEO the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall strategic and financial
success of Pinnacle’s PAC Brand portfolio and for ensuring strategic alignment between Pinnacle and
the PAC vendors.
The PAC brand portfolio includes ASUS, Microsoft, Proline, TP-Link, D-Link, QNAP, Aten, Port, LG,
Hisense, Western Digital, Sandisk, HikSemi, Seagate, Logitech as well as various POS (point-of-sale)
product vendors.
Recruitment Specialist
- Establishing and realizing Pinnacle’s PAC Brand strategic objectives and empirical goals
- Establishing the vision and strategic direction for each brand team, including goals, budgets, and strategy
- Engaging strategically with stakeholders (both internal and external)
- Aligning strategic goals with vendors through engagement
- Managing vendor relationships proactively by resolving issues, securing buy-in where necessary, and maintaining excellent communication
- Collaborating with the Sales Directors and Sales Managers to assemble large deals
- Managing large deals effectively
- Engaging positively with customers
- Managing PAC team Brand budgets & income statement
- Forecasting for the financial year
- Growing Share of Wallet (SOW)
- Managing the pipeline responsibly
- Taking accountability for and managing the forecast
- Reporting to the CFO on vendor tactical accounts
- Funding aged inventory proactively
- Ensuring teams stay within the stock budget
- Checking and approving vendor pricing agreements, payments, stocking orders, all large deals, and demo stock
- Reporting and presenting results to the leadership and EXCO teams
- Championing the Pinnacle Culture and Values
- Leading and inspiring the PAC Brand teams at a high level
- Managing managers (Brand Executives) – KPAs, recruitment, leave, career etc.
- Ensuring Brand teams to meet their targets
- Coaching and mentoring Brand Executives and brand team members to drive results
- Ensuring team operational efficiencies
- Engaging and collaborating with functional and senior managers across the business, including Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance, Logistics, Sage, and IT
- Collaborating with the Regional Executive and Branch Managers to ensure branch success
- Providing feedback and input to EXCO
Experience and Knowledge:
- 8-10 years' experience in Brand Management, preferably within the IT Distribution industry
- 5-8 years' experience in a Distribution environment
- 5-8 years' leadership experience, including managing managers
- Proven leadership and ability to engage with senior-level stakeholders
- Strong technical knowledge with experience in Inventory, Budget, and Pipeline Management
- Vendor Management experience
- Extensive experience in the IT distribution industry is essential
Skills and Education:
- Matric with a Business Qualification preferably BCOM or BSC
- Must hold existing positive relationships within vendors (at a senior level)
- Solid sales experience with proven results in achieving targets
- Excellent Presentation skills
- Advanced computer literacy in MS word, Outlook, PowerPoint and MS Excel
- Good analytical ability and strong Excel knowledge
- Customer focused and delivering above average customer service
- Ability to network, build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as have a grasp of different cultures
- Strategic thinker with strong planning, negotiation and execution skills
- Excellent customer engagement and relationship building skills
- Good time management and ability to effectively prioritize workload
- Be willing to go the extra mile
- Must have a valid driver's license and own reliable transport
- Willingness to travel
