Role Description
Location: Midrand, South Africa
Full-time and Office based
Reporting Line: Business Unit Manager: IBM
Job Purpose
The Enterprise Hardware Product Manager will primarily be focused on providing exceptional customer service by executing all administrative duties related to the IBM hardware portfolio.This position will become a product expert and play a crucial role in supporting all business development activities to meet revenue and profit objectives.
Recruitment Specialist
- Execute activities to achieve monthly sales targets
- Maintain and grow the existing product partner base by assisting with account planning and customer mapping
- Liaise and engage with partners regularly to grow their share of the wallet
- Present product/brand presentations to customers and partners
- Generate leads and manage the sales process together with the partner
- Present status of the development plan back to the vendor
- Ensure operational excellence of vendor within the partner
- Ensure all SLAs are met timeously
- Responsible for fast and accurate costing and quotes to partners
- Understand and implement Pinnacle strategy and policies in alignment with product
- Product support (PDF Spec Sheets, Web Info, Sales Support, Customer Support-Systems Integrators
- Making sure that stakeholders at the vendor interface with stakeholders at the partner at all levels
- Working with the partner to drive marketing initiatives – adhering to alignment with the vendors GTM messaging i.e. Driving vendor GTMs with the partner and ensuring focus on the GTMs
- Analyse market segments and develop marketing strategies to build product demand by creating effective solutions and awareness of the product and brand
- Maintain the ERP system up to date with product codes and pricing agreements
- Build and maintain internal and external relationships
Experience and Knowledge:
- Minimum 5 years’ work experience within an IT environment
- Demonstrable knowledge of software tools
- Appropriate IBM accreditations would be advantageous
- Previous experience within the ICT Distribution industry
- Working experience in a customer service environment
- Understanding of Forex conversions/calculations
- Networking value propositions will be extremely beneficial
Skills and Education:
- Matric, with mathematics is essential
- A tertiary qualification and/or a relevant diploma in Business and/or in IT will be an advantage
- Excellent computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written business communication skills
- Good sales presentation skills
- Organized individual who is deadline-driven with good time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to work in a pressured environment, to chase and meet targets
- Interested in continuously learning about technology products
- Confident, self-motivated, and display a high level of energy
