PINNACLE PERKS REWARDS PROGRAMME TERMS AND CONDITIONS 


Qualifying Resellers of Pinnacle can earn rewards whenever they purchase through the online Pinnacle portal/website. The earning of points is exclusively rewarded for online purchases through the https://www.pinnacle.co.za website and redemption of points is exclusively awarded for online purchases. 
 
Read these Terms and Conditions carefully and keep a copy for your records. 1. WHAT IS “PINNACLE PERKS REWARDS PROGRAMME”? 


Pinnacle Perks Rewards Programme allows Qualifying Resellers of Pinnacle to earn:

  • up to 1% back in rewards on their online purchase spend through www.pinnacle.co.za;
  • Exclusive access to deals and perks available through www.pinnacle.co.za and personalized campaigns through Pinnacle’s marketing channels;

 

Resellers of Pinnacle must be registered online members in order to earn rewards on their qualifying Pinnacle account. Without an online profile for both company and contact, the programme will not be activated to earn or redeem points.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: TAX IMPLICATIONS 
 
We strongly recommend that you obtain independent professional advice regarding any tax implications arising from the receipt, accumulation, discounts of points.  
You are fully responsible for any tax implications arising from or associated with any rewards, benefits, discounts, accumulated points spent due to you being a Member of, or participating in, the Pinnacle Perks Rewards Programme
 
You agree that you will not hold Pinnacle or its constituents liable and you hereby fully indemnify Pinnacle completely harmless, against all damages, claims and fines made against you or Pinnacle, including all legal costs , to the extent to which such damages, claims and fines arise out of or are connected to any taxation relating to your receipt, accumulation, transfer or spend of any rewards, benefits, discounts, or the charges in respect thereof. 


2. WHAT REWARDS ARE OFFERED BY PINNACLE PERKS REWARDS TO ITS QUALIFYING RESELLERS? 


Rewards on online purchase spend  Qualifying resellers can earn rewards based on their qualifying online purchases and their spend behavior. When earning rewards on qualifying online products purchases resellers will not earn additional rewards on those purchases.

3. HOW DO I QUALIFY TO EARN REWARDS IF I AM A REGISTERED PINNACLE ACCOUNT HOLDER? 


To qualify for Pinnacle Perks Rewards you need to: 

  • Have an active registered Pinnacle reseller account and:
  • ensure your account has at least one valid email contact to be sent to the eCommerce admin; and
  • ensure your account has the corresponding contact number (mobile is required); and
  • ensure your account has at least one physical address containing; building number and or complex number, street name, city name, province name and postal code; and
  • Ensure all your accounts are in good standing (refer to definition of good standing in General Terms and Conditions below).
  • Have an active online profile on the Pinnacle website portal through www.pinnacle.co.za  
  • Approved online purchases with auditable proof of payment for your purchases (refer to clause 7 through 8 in the Website Terms and Conditions: (https://www.pinnacle.co.za/ecommerce-terms-conditions), these payments include but are not limited to;
  • Credit Card purchases (CC)
  • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
  • Payment on Account (Credit) 

4. HOW DO I NOT QUALIFY TO EARN REWARDS IF I AM A REGISTERED PINNACLE ACCOUNT HOLDER? 


You do not qualify to earn Pinnacle Perks Rewards if you: 

  • Do not have an online profile on the Pinnacle website portal through www.pinnacle.co.za
  • if for any reason your online account is deactivated or deleted; or
  • if for any reason your online purchases are cancelled, returned, redacted for unqualifying purchases; or 
    due to fraudulent activity online with your account from external or internal sources (refer to clause 16 through 17 in the Website Terms and Conditions: https://www.pinnacle.co.za/ecommerce-terms-conditions)
  • if you are identified and grouped as a sub-distributor with negotiated rates and prices, Pinnacle reserves the right to identify and group the customer as a sub-distributor at any time without prior knowledge to the customer. 
  • All your accounts are NOT in good standing (refer to the definition of good standing in General Terms and Conditions below). 

5. WHAT IS MY REWARD LEVEL? 


Once you have qualified for Pinnacle Perks Rewards, your reward level will remain at the same level as all programme delegates. We ensure 1% in rewards across the board for all qualifying online purchases. Pinnacle reserves the right to review and change reward levels at any time without prior notice to the customer. 


6. HOW DO I ACCRUE PERKS REWARD POINTS? 


You accrue Perks Reward Points based on your online spend behavior through www.pinnacle.co.za.

For every R100 spent, you'll earn 1 Perk Point, 1 Perk Point = R1 to redeem off your next purchase.

  • In order to accrue a positive balance of points for online purchases you need to spend a minimum of R100.
  • Points are rounded down in increments of R100, there are no fraction points, only whole numbers (refer to example below)
  • Points are accrued ONLY after payment is made and approved for use in future purchases.
  • Points accrued are calculated exclusive of VAT. You will NOT earn points for the VAT amount.
  • Reward point accruals and balances will be itemized in the Balance History on the “My Perks” section on the “My Account” dashboard (refer to https://www.pinnacle.co.za/reward/customer/info/ once logged into your online profile).

7. HOW DO I REDEEM REWARDS ON ONLINE PURCHASES? 


Perks Reward Points Redemption is made on the payment step of the cart checkout process. You can add or remove points redemption during checkout, and this will be tendered as a “price discount” towards your purchase.  
 
The Perks Reward Points Redemption will reflect as follows;

  • Cash payments such as CC or EFT will be “short” paid as a discount to the current order you are attempting to purchase.
  • POA payments such as credit will be paid in full during checkout at which time Pinnacle will credit your account with the amount of the points redemption value.
  • Points redemptions are tendered inclusive of VAT. Points calculation at checkout will be included into the VAT upon payment.

PLEASE NOTE! 
 
Your tax invoice will show the FULL amount of the purchase made online. Please refer to the “IMPORTANT NOTICE: TAX IMPLICATIONS” statement in the beginning of this document.  


8. DO I EARN REWARDS ON TRADITIONAL PURCHASES? 


We do NOT facilitate Perks Reward Points on traditional purchases at this time. This programme is intended for online purchases through the Pinnacle website portal www.pinnacle.co.za only. 


9. HOW ARE REWARDS CALCULATED? 


Types of Rewards How are they calculated?  Form
Online Purchases Rewards are based on approved purchases made online (excluding certain preset or already discounted or complimentary items and/or services) accrued after each purchase. You will get a percentage of your qualifying online purchases back. The percentage you get back depends on how much you have purchased through the online portal. For every R100 spent you will earn one Perk Reward Point, this calculates to 1% of spend excluding VAT.  You will earn your rewards in the form of Perks Points.

10. IS THERE A LIMIT ON THE REWARDS I CAN EARN? 


There is a maximum limit of 100 000 (one hundred thousand) points quantity you can earn and/or accumulate during any one accruement cycle. You will not be able to earn more than R100 000 in point value until the next accruement cycle. We reserve the right to review/change this at any time. 
 
The accruement cycle starts every year from 01 January to 31 December of the same year. Your point accrual will accumulate during this period and will expire on the last day of that specific accruement cycle in which the accumulation took place. 
 
Points will be reset to a (0) zero balance on the start of the new accruement cycle each year, points will be lost to the customer if not used within the allotted accruement cycle the points were accumulated within. 


11. HOW AND WHEN ARE REWARDS PAID? 


Online Spend Rewards:  
Rewards are allocated AFTER each successful online purchase and awarded once the payment has been finalized.

Sales Campaigns: 
Rewards are allocated AFTER each successful online purchase and awarded once the payment has been finalized.


Marketing Campaigns: 
Rewards are allocated AFTER the prerequisites are satisfied to fulfill the campaign conditions. These conditions will be made clear in the campaign terms and conditions and/or marketing material provided.

 

PLEASE NOTE! 
 
Returns (RMA’s) on successful online purchases will incur the redaction of the initially awarded points for the related successful purchase. If for any reason you redeem points related to a successful order before the return (RMA) of your order, we reserve the right to redact points on your current accrual balance.


12. HOW DO I KNOW WHAT REWARDS I HAVE EARNED?


If you have chosen to receive your statements via email only you will receive a monthly Rewards statement. The rewards you have earned will additionally be shown on your online account profile. Your itemized rewards balance history and breakdown can be found in the “My Account” section under the “My Perks menu on the portal: https://www.pinnacle.co.za/reward/customer/info/
 


13. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS 


  • The reward cannot be exchanged or converted to cash.
  • For card and EFT purchases, the date the reward is earned will be the date the merchant posts the transaction, and not necessarily the date the transaction takes place. We cannot guarantee what date the merchant will post the transaction and will not be held liable where a reward is earned in another month to which the transaction took place.
  • You must ensure that the Perks Points displayed under your account profile (online account) are correct. You must bring any errors to our attention in writing within thirty (30) days after we display the Perks Points under your profile.
  • If you have a dispute about your rewards as shown on your Rewards statement, you must contact us on +27 (0)11 265 3000 within 30 days from when the Perk Points were loaded to your balance on your profile , failing which they will be deemed to be correct.
  • We reserve our right to amend these Terms and Conditions and the Pinnacle Perks Rewards Programme at any time. We will notify you of any changes via your valid email address on your profile within 7 days of changes being made.
  • These Terms and Conditions must be read together with the General Website Terms and Conditions available at https://www.pinnacle.co.za/ecommerce-terms-conditions, Terms and Conditions of Refund and Return available at https://www.pinnacle.co.za/return-refund-policy as well as the Terms and Conditions of Sale available at https://www.pinnacle.co.za/terms-conditions.
  • We reserve the right to end your participation in the Pinnacle Perks Rewards Programme at any time and for any reason, on 7 days written notice to you, via your valid email address, which includes but not limited to the following reasons:
  • We believe your behaviour was inappropriate, constituted misconduct, fraud, and/or is an abuse of Pinnacle Perks Rewards Programme.
  • You breached these, or any other terms and conditions relevant to the Pinnacle Perks Rewards Programme.
  • Your account/s is not in good standing.
  • “Good Standing” means that none of your Pinnacle accounts and credit agreements should be overdrawn, or be in arrears, or be in default, nor should the account holder be undergoing sequestration, or be subject to any legal process with Pinnacle as defined in our Terms and Conditions.
  • We reserve our right to end Pinnacle Perks Rewards Programme immediately, if required because of changes in legislation or if we believe it is necessary for any other reason. We will notify you if we elect to end Pinnacle Perks Rewards Programme within 7 days via your valid email address.
  • The Pinnacle Perks Rewards Programme shall be governed, construed, and enforced pursuant to the laws of South Africa.
  • Perks Points earned on a Joint Account will be allocated as follows, the qualifying spend on the Joint Account will be allocated to the profile who has authority to transact on the account.
  • Individual profile accounts or Joint profile accounts involving individuals (single user account) will be treated independently of accounts in the name of a legal entity or Joint profile accounts involving legal entities (non-personal accounts) when it comes to the qualifying criteria (sections 3 and 4) as well as when it comes to calculating rewards. Please note that users that transfer from joint accounts profiles into individual accounts profiles will lose their points at the time of transfer and vice versa.
  • Individual profiles or Joint profiles linked to Sub-distribution accounts or state tender accounts, will not qualify for Pinnacle Perks Rewards Programme at Pinnacle’s sole discretion.
  • You are NOT able to send your Perks Points to another account member or entity. Perks Points are non-transferable.
