Full-time and Office based
Reporting Line: Business Unit Manager: IBM
Job Purpose
As the successful candidate you will play a pivotal role in executing and furthering the IBM portfolio strategy by leveraging your technical expertise to advise customers, design integrated solutions, and assist in meeting revenue and profit targets. Furthermore, you will act as a technology evangelist, trusted advisor and thought leader who delivers our message through customer engagement.
Recruitment Specialist
- Achieve applicable industry certifications and ensure they remain current
- Representing the vendor at customer engagements and conferences
- Assist with customer enablement to drive the vendor portfolio value proposition
- Coach and support fellow Pre-Sales engineers and Sales personnel new to the vendor

- Deliver vendor presentations and training to the Pinnacle sales teams and customer landscape
- Propose and professionally demonstrate the vendor portfolio products and solutions by means of presentations, whiteboarding, demos, and "proof-of-concepts"
- Collaborate with the creation and presentation of a business case to all business sponsors (i.e., C- level executives, technical partners, etc.) in support of solutions
- Evangelize the vendors portfolio through customer engagement
- Become entrenched as a trusted advisor to colleagues and customers
- Stay abreast of industry trends and the vendors product portfolio
- Establish an internal/external business network to ensure sales success and positive customer experience
- Partake in tender evaluation, product / solution recommendation, and pricing
- Accurately price products / solutions as per vendor and customer requirements
- Assist in meeting the vendors portfolio revenue and profit targets
Experience and Knowledge:
- Successful track record in technical Pre-Sales of enterprise infrastructure and software
- Strong background and understanding of enterprise storage, servers, backup, networking, virtualization, converged, hyper converged and cloud infrastructures
- 5+ years’ experience in the design of infrastructure solutions
- Demonstrable knowledge of enterprise solution design considerations and tools
- Appropriate accreditation / certification including one or more convergence technology
- Technology evangelist with the ability to connect and work with stakeholders across all levels, including C-level
Skills and Education:
- Matric, with mathematics is essential
- A tertiary qualification and/or a relevant diploma in Business and/or in IT will be an advantage
- Excellent computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written business communication skills
- Good sales presentation skills
- Organized individual who is deadline-driven with good time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to work in a pressured environment, to chase and meet targets
- Interested in continuously learning about technology products
- Confident, self-motivated, and display a high level of energy
